Ah, Venice, the grand city of canals and romantic waterways. This floating city resides on the water in Italy and stretches across several small islands in the northeastern quadrant of the country. Compared to many other Italian cities it is considered to be much more subdued in terms of noise and chaos, but Venice is still a city bustling with activity.
The 'Old Florida' style structure was originally as a resort, and now houses the popular cold drinks and delicious food spot on Chadwick's Cove. The idyllic location with the public beach across the highway and the marina at the bay make it a favorite eating place, with fantastic entertainment a regular feature! Entertainment at the White Elephant Pub is unsurpassed in the area!

When the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriages, America generally, and the gay community specifically, celebrated. Same-sex marriages, and the gay and lesbian movement is more mainstream than ever. While the national discussion has been brought to the forefront, at the state level, conversations continue.
The best drinks are the ones we have with friends! Downtown Sarasota is fairly safe ……cops all over the place. Pretty much the only nightlife thing to do in Sarasota Greg Oliver Multiple areas with different types of music, usually a live band downstairs and dance music upstairs.

Located just south of picturesque Bradenton and fringed by the gorgeous barrier islands of Siesta Key and Long Boat Key, both of them famous for their white-sand beaches, downtown Sarasota has a growing number of hip and trendy restaurants, bars, galleries, and arts venues. Although Sarasota's only entirely gay club, the Throb Nightclub, closed down in after a fire broke out—which was later ruled intentional arson— a number of the other venues in the area cater to the LGBT crowd on certain nights of the week. For a more curated experience, consider becoming a member of the Purple Rhino Lounge, a private non-profit gay bar and community center that one reviewer referred to as being "like a gay 'Cheers!
I was wondering if Venice was gay friendly. Any thoughts? TripAdvisor staff removed this post either because the author requested it, or because it did not meet TripAdvisor's forum guidelines.
